Ang power unit na ito ay hindi kailanman pinipigilan ang kapangyarihan, ngunit gumagana din nang hindi kapani-paniwalang tahimik at may pinakabagong teknolohiya.
"Hello everyone and welcome to another Gamereactor Quick Look.
Here on this table and particularly in reviews written by our resident PC expert and PC building expert Kim, there are a couple of brands that we look towards that we have more faith in than others."
"So for a lot of cooling solutions in general, Noctua and their iconic brown fans is always a go-to whenever these kinds of sort of ideas come up.
What can we build with? Who do we want to work with in order to achieve these kind of build aspirations?
Noctua is just, they're that good and they're that consistent in their goodness."
"They're even consistent when they collaborate with other manufacturers.
For instance, they collaborated with Asus, I believe, on a graphics card where they supplied the fans for the GPU and that was also great. Point being, they must have pretty high quality standards because these collaborations tend to go really well for both parties."
"And when it comes to PSUs or power supplies, well Seasonic issues are also cream of the crop.
So what happens when these two collaborate?
Well, you get the Seasonic Prime TX1600 Noctua Edition.
I should say that it varies a little bit whether or not this Noctua Edition is more expensive than the regular TX1600, but we have found prices that are the same, which essentially just means we'll get the Noctua Edition one."
"I should state that if you are very much a fan of the classic Noctua Brown, it is only, well, on the sort of the fan outline and the fan itself.
This piece of metal is weirdly enough brown, but is accented by a regular black.
I think it would have been cool if all of it was that Noctua Brown because it's just part of their brand identity now."
"So what is this?
Well, it is a Seasonic Prime TX1600, meaning that it's 1600 watts, meaning that you're going to need some, like it's a pretty heavy machine if you're going to need this amount of juice.
And fitted here at the front is one of Noctua's NF-A12X25 120mm fans."
"Now this will actually only start spinning once the wattage load exceeds 50%, meaning once you use more than 800 watts.
Now that could also technically be achieved by some of the power spiking we're seeing on new NVIDIA GPUs, for instance.
So if all of a sudden a massive spike will pass that 800 watt barrier, well, then this will start spinning around, but it is actually a testament to its quality that it can run you 800 watts and not need active cooling at all."
"Now the thing about Noctua is first and foremost, well, the amount of cooling that they produce, but also the lack of noise that happens during this production, meaning that it should be 8 to 10 decibels more quiet than similar PSUs on the market and peaks at about 24 decibel when running at absolute full tilt."
"So it is the one thing I will say, and this is probably not something that counts for anything, but this is incredibly heavy.
It is incredibly heavy also, even though that it's fully modular, meaning that once you buy this thing like you would with any old modular PSU, you get a full bag of all of the cables you could possibly need, all the accessories that you're going to need from Seasonic to make sure that you can mount and install whatever it is that you need."
"That means that it supports ATX 3.1 standards, PCIe 5.1, 12-volt 2x6 connector support.
It really must has the entire thing.
There's also all of these sort of like help with mounting, even looks like these are in the Noctua Brown, and a Seasonic Noctua sort of double logo there."
"Point is, it's a modular PSU.
If you're watching this, you probably already know what you can expect from it.
It is pricey.
Again, we mentioned that it's going to be the same as a non-Noctua Prime TX1600, but that still means that you're paying 470 to 500 euros for a power supply, and you can definitely get those that are a little less expensive than that."
"But I should also mention, again, PSU or PC gaming enthusiasts probably have also seen what is on the box, which is that this particular one has an 80-plus titanium efficiency rating, meaning that these are considered cream of the crop in the PSU game.
We'll be fully installing this and using it and reviewing it in the days and weeks to come."
