"Hello everyone and welcome to another Gamereactor Quick Look.
Not too long ago we received quite an elaborate review kit of the now recently launched Motorola Signature, which is a brand new sort of flagship experience that Motorola wants to offer."
"And in that elaborate review kit was a bunch of products that really has little to do with the Signature phone itself.
One of those is the Brixton Roma, and we thought it's such a good idea, or at least an innovative, idea in the sense that we wanted to give it the spotlight all on its own."
"Meaning that if you go out to purchase your own Brixton Roma, you won't find a Motorola logo on the device itself.
No, this is actually a company that specializes in making these small little do-carry gadgets, which in this particular case can give you a fresh cup of coffee when you want it."
"It's actually very akin to a blender that we had, sort of a go blender that we had not too long ago.
Imagine that you, in the morning, you load it up with fresh fruit, for instance, and you head on to the train or the car, and then maybe at about 10am, maybe even as lunch, you then feel hungry, peckish."
"And then you decide to then blend the fresh produce that you put in it during that early morning period.
The fact that you're blending it fresh just means that it tastes better, it maintains a lot of the color."
"It's the same thing with coffee in many ways than one.
So if you have a thermos, and you fill that with coffee, and you sip over hours, then naturally it'll lose flavor, heat, it's much better if you make it fresh.
And that is what the Brixton Roma does."
"And the concept is very much the same.
So it can do capsules, but it can also just do fresh coffee, like ground coffee, which you can use through the little measuring there on the side.
You fill that up, and then you close it, and then you can basically wait."
"It won't aerate in there, and it can create the bars necessary in order to squeeze out a full extraction of the coffee that you've put in there.
And what then happens is that it is then processed through this.
There's a battery inside, which will last you many times over, and you have a little cup here for your fresh coffee."
"Fresh brew, whenever you want it.
It is a little bit heavy, because it has to have all of the power necessary in order to create something hot.
For one, like we also discussed with the blender, which is essentially just a blender."
"You have to assume that the subjects you put in will be the adequate temperature by the time you press the button.
And you can also ostensibly put it in the fridge at work or in school.
This has to create warmth."
"That takes a lot of energy, and that is why this is heavier.
So you'll feel this in your bag, for instance, when you leave in the morning.
But it does create 15 bars, which is quite a lot for a device this small.
That works around 90 watts of actual power, meaning that it itself is pretty much an adequate machine for something like this."
"It can create temperatures up to 92 degrees.
And once you need to charge it, there is a little sort of rubberized shield here to make sure that no spillage comes in there, which hides a USB type C port, which you can simply charge it with."
"So very, very simple indeed.
Again, we're going to test this, I think.
It's cool to get it from Motorola just outright, but we'll be looking at it because at the very least, it's a good idea."
