Nakipag-usap kami sa mga developer tungkol sa malaking laki ng file ng laro.
"Hello everyone and welcome back to another GRTV News. Today we're going to be touching a little bit on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 for the simple reason that during our time out in Germany for Gamescom we had the chance, or rather I had the chance, to speak with a couple of the developers involved with the project And we've seen on various occasions the effect that has on particularly console players who maybe don't want to have to put aside 400 gigabytes worth of space to keep all the Call of Duty games on their console. But the point is, Switch 2 doesn't have the same, not even massive amount of space, but it doesn't have the same amount of space on its base device, meaning you might be a little bit concerned about how big this game is going to be. And we asked them about it, so let's take a look."
"Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 will clock in at around 87GB on Switch 2, with the game looking to run at 60fps when in docked mode on the platform. So yeah, when it was confirmed Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 would be the first Call of Duty game to launch on a Nintendo platform in around a decade, many questions were soon raised about the project and how it would be adapted to suit Nintendo's platform. To this end, during our time at Gamescom recently, we sat down with an individual involved with the anticipated title to learn more about what to expect from the Switch 2 edition, namely Beatriz Gonzalez, Associate Production Director at Digital Legends, the studio behind the Switch 2 version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. In the interview we enquired about how Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 runs on Switch 2, with Gonzalez explaining the following."
"We then enquired further about the file size of the game and how much storage space fans should be expecting to put aside for the game. With the size, it's something that we know, especially in Switch 2, that people are going to be worried about. And we kept that in mind to do the most efficient package that we can offer on downloads."
"The team is working on that a bunch. I believe we land on 87GB for launch. I think that's a good number considering the insane amount of content that goes into a Call of Duty game. Gonzales also confirmed the Call of Duty HQ launcher slash hub will be used with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 on Switch 2, despite not having any other games it can connect to as of yet. So likewise, due to the game aiming for 87GB in file size, we probably shouldn't expect to see Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 on a cartridge, as rather it will seemingly favour the game keycard approach instead."
"Will you be playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 on Switch 2 come launch on October 23rd?
Now we did also have the opportunity to speak with Gonzales and one of Infinity Ward's multiplayer directors about a variety of different things about the game."
"You'll see all of that good stuff happening and popping up on your local Gamereactor region in the days ahead, so stay tuned for that. Otherwise though, as we hear more about this, we'll be sure to keep you posted and updated. Again, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 is around six weeks, seven weeks away from arrival. It's getting ever closer by the day."
"I think I don't know whether we'll actually see any more of the game now that the beta weekends have wrapped up maybe they'll do one more round of betas just before launch or something like that but the point is the game's getting closer and closer so expect more information to come out about it and the way that Activision intends to continue supporting it and continue improving it but for the time being that's all that's all the uh the space I have on today's episode of GRTV News but I will be back now tomorrow for the next one of the week so I hope you enjoy the rest of your Wednesday and I'll see you all"
