It's been years, but we actually were among the first Danish media, I believe, to grab and review the original WinBot from Ecovacs."

"So the general idea is that you put this on a vertical surface, so a glass panel.
And once you started from the Ecovacs home app through like with a robotic vacuum cleaner, you set to like set up what kind of cleaning that you want, how thorough you want it to be."
"And then through a really powerful suction motor here, which will suck onto that vertical surface with up to 5,500 pascals worth of suction.
That's a lot, by the way.
It will stick and it will start moving along this vertical surface."
"Now this can handle up to very, very, very big glass panels.
And it will, like with a robotic vacuum cleaner, map it properly and to make sure that it knows the surface.
It will also remember where there are certain types of grime or certain types of icky stuff that you want removed, that it spent extra resources and time cleaning."
"And it will scan to make sure that it is actually properly cleaned.
So in that particular regard, it very much mirrors its vacuum cleaner counterparts.
It will move, it will map, it'll clean, and then it will end.
So you might be thinking, what else is here?
Well, there's a few extra things in this WinBot W3 Omni."
"First and foremost, well, as I said, the overall shape and the overall concept is the same.
So you also now get this little dual direction cross auto spray with a wide angle nozzle for continuous and even water distribution across the glass.
As I said, it has a higher pascal suction rate."
"But the big extra thing is obviously this.
Now the cameraman said that it looked like a miniature, basically like a washer and dryer.
And I agree.
This is called the Omni safety station."
"Now this is a multi-purpose thing.
For one, it provides safety.
So this line here is actually power.
Earlier, you would need to attach power to the unit itself and then run that to an outlet in order for it to work."
"Now it gets its power directly from the Omni safety station.
It also works as a safety.
This has been made purposefully heavy, and it comes with a big suction cup at the bottom.
So that means that if this should fall from its vertical surface, or whatever the case might be, I mean, I think even Ecovacs themselves know that these things can happen, then this will catch because this has been really securely attached."
"There is also a carabiner with a safety line that you can add as extra compensation should this fail.
But the point is that it isn't.
Now this also has a battery."
"So let's say that for some reason, there is no power.
So you might be really, really nervous that if power is gone, what power is used to maintain the suction rate on this?
Would it just fall straight off, down towards your children or civilians standing by?
No, because this battery pack will provide 40 minutes of usage on that glass panel on the charge on this box alone."
"So I think that's actually a pretty cool idea.
It obviously means that a unit that beforehand was a little bit small, I know this isn't small, but you could keep this in a cupboard, to really big.
But you must remember that if you have regular, small, squarish window tiles at home, this obviously isn't for you."
"Even if you have semi-big panoramic windows at home, like I do, it's still a bit too small of an area for it to make sense.
You need really big glass panels and essentially big glass panels that is very, very tricky to clean using a lot of step ladders and safety equipment to do it properly."
"Well, this you lean out, you attach, you let it do its thing.
So even though it's not a one-to-one window cleaning with if you paid a professional to do it, you might get it done more often.
