Ang susunod na pamagat ng Insomniac ay binigyan ng petsa.

"Hello everyone and welcome back to another GRTV News, today we're going to be talking about the big thing that broke yesterday. I'm going to dive straight into the news piece and we'll talk about it afterwards for the simple reason that I have some thoughts about the way that things are being conducted around this game. It's frustrating me a little bit but I'll explain why in a moment. So anyway, let's dive on in."

"So yes, Marvel's Wolverine confirms September launch date, Insomniac has finally revealed how long before GTA 6, this year's biggest PlayStation exclusive, will be released.
So many of us were expecting PlayStation Ever State of Play focused on Marvel's Wolverine sometime around Summer Game Fest in June and that we would finally get an exact release date for Insomniac's highly anticipated game then. Well, surprise! The talented team that has already given us Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart PlayStation 5 has suddenly confirmed that Marvel's Wolverine will launch on PS5 the 15th of September."

"This means 2026's biggest PlayStation exclusive will arrive one week after Phantom Blade Zero and two months before Grand Theft Auto 6. We haven't received a trailer or anything else to celebrate this announcement so we expect to see a lot more of Marvel's Wolverine in the coming months."

"Now, good news, it's coming quite soon actually. Insomniac continues to be probably PlayStation's or Sony Interactive Entertainment's most prolific and efficient developer. I am very excited about this game, I think it's going to be a blast. Just, you know, Insomniac make really fun adventures and I have no reason to doubt that Wolverine is going to be anything other than that. But it annoys me because we had a state of play recently that wasn't actually very good. It was over an hour long and it was packed with a lot of just garbage. And some of the best moments were nothing to do with PlayStation really. You know, the Kenami section for example felt like a third party section sort of slotted in between and that was perhaps the best part of the show. Again, if you're going to have a big showcase like that and then, you know, for a tentpole game that's coming out later this year like Marvel's Wolverine not to appear, you assume that there's going to be a dedicated state of play coming at some point to give you a really focused look at the game. And that might still be coming. But if you knew 10 days after the state of play that you were going to just announce its release date in a tweet, why wouldn't you put together a trailer and feature it at the state of play so that people can talk about it and mention this major tentpole release as part of this massive showcase, the biggest state of play they've ever done in regards to length. It doesn't make sense. And once again, Sony are making decisions that you look at and you say, I can't for the life of me understand it. It doesn't make sense why they do these things. They did it a little bit with Ghost of Yotei where they just sort of drop information here and there. It's always like Sony has forgotten how to market a game or how to utilise their own resources well because there are a couple of, you know, we're not talking that they need to dedicate 15 minutes to Wolverine in the last state of play, just three minutes, just drop some of the more inconsequential trailers and get a Wolverine trailer in there with the release date. And that would've been one of the biggest stories from the state of play by a long margin. And yet they just decided to just out of the blue, out of nobody's expected it in a tweet, by the way, Wolverine's coming in September. It's madness. And again, Sony are in this weird place right now where they just make a lot of bad decisions on the go. They do have the benefit though of every time they make a bad decision, Xbox usually comes out and makes an even worse decision a couple of days later or, you know, 24 hours later. So maybe Xbox will have something in store where they'll announce that like Fable's being delayed to 2028 or something mad within the next few hours. It's probably unlikely, but I'm just saying that for whatever reason, there's been a trend that that's been happening. But yeah, back to Wolverine. I am really excited about this game. I just wish Sony would just shape up and figure their shit out a little bit because you can't keep just dropping major release dates just in a tweet out of the blue. There has to be better ways to do this, especially when we're in such close proximity to one of the biggest state of plays of the year. It makes no sense."

"Utilise the resources you have when you've got millions of people watching your show.
Use those optics to make people talk about the game instead of just out of the blue, here's a release date. It's madness. And it frustrates me immensely because we're continuing to see how important marketing can be for video games and how it can be make or break for the amount of copies they shift. And for whatever reason, Sony has just sort of recently decided that they don't want to do it. It's madness. It's absolute madness. But again, this is Sony. They make stupid decisions like this coming weekend when they're for some reason running playtests for Horizon Hunters Gathering at the exact same time they're running playtests for Marathon. They're competing live service games. Why do you have to play the same weekend? It's mental. It doesn't make sense. But again, this is just Sony being in a very weird place right now, which is completely, you know, it's about the furthest that they could have been from where they were at the end of the 2010s when they were still delivering amazing titles. They just come off God of War. They just dropped Last of Us Part 2."

"You know, Ghost of Tsushima was just new. All these things. PlayStation 5 was just on the horizon.
Sony was at the absolute pinnacle of where they were. Now you look at them and it's like, I kind of don't recognize them in a way. But yeah, very strange across the board.
I'll probably wrap up here before I just keep ranting further about Sony and the way that they're conducting themselves as of late. But yeah, the big news is that Marvel Wolverine is coming out on September 15th. And again, PlayStation 5 exclusive. It will eventually come to PC like all PlayStation games do. It hasn't been announced. It's just, you know, very much implied, although the timeline is unclear. It might be six months, might be 10, 12 months, might be 18 months. But, you know, Marvel's Spider-Man 1 and 2 are both on PC, so you can almost guarantee that this game will eventually be there too."

"But yeah, that's all the time I have. So I'll be back tomorrow for the next GRT News of the Week. So thank you for joining me and I'll see you all on that one."
