Why do I think that is?
I mean, I do think the show is getting better with age."
"We all mature and grow season on season.
I think making Conrad continue to challenge themselves in the writing.
Yeah, I mean, I think that is the hope.
That's the hope of the natural evolution of something, is that it will just continue to get better."
"But I'm grateful that that's what it seems like is happening.
How would you describe your character in the series?
Harper is ambitious, she's determined.
She is unscrutable."
"I don't know, she's hardcore.
And how would you describe the new season?
What can we expect from season 4?
Season 4 is everything that season 1, 2 and 3 wishes it could be."
"It's expanded, it's just expanded.
We're now gliding through the worlds.
It's finance, it's journalism and media, it's politics.
We're really expanding the worlds in which these characters are moving through."
"After four seasons, are you surprised about the path your character took?
And where is Harper now compared to when she first started in Pierpoint?
Yeah, I don't think that I'm necessarily surprised.
I feel like Harper is tenacious and her plan was always to be a boss, the boss."
"So now that she sort of is, I'm not surprised by that.
I'm also not surprised by the challenges she continues to face.
They're still born out of racism and sexism and elitism.
But I think that I'm excited that I think also that the Harper in season 1 wants to be the Harper in season 4."
"I think if Harper in season 4 could meet Harper in season 1, Harper in season 1 would be like, I want to be just like you.
Do you find it challenging to portray a character which is so nuanced and with some conflicting moral values that I see most around the series?
Is it challenging to portray all of that nuance?
I think Harper is a challenging character, but I find it very exciting and challenging in a way that tickles my brain in a good way."
"To play someone who has many things at once.
I'm not really interested in archetypes or singular kinds of characters.
I like people that feel well-rounded.
I love people who are hypocritical and conflict themselves, or contradict themselves and have conflicting views and hopes and desires."
"I appreciate that Harper feels real because she's not just one thing.
She's not like a morally acceptable version of a person.
She just is a person. I like that.
And for someone who maybe wants to enter the series now, but maybe intimidated by all the financial talks of the series and it's a bit complicated to follow, how would you recommend the series to someone who wants to get on the train of industry, but maybe intimidated and scared by..."
"Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid.
I still don't know what any of the finance really means.
You don't have to understand the jargon or the financial world to get hooked into industry because really what industry is, is a show about relationships."
"A show about relationships with people who just happen to be surrounded by the finance world.
But you don't need to know any of that stuff to understand.
Do you think that the series has changed inspired by real-life events and it has evolved in ways that maybe they didn't consider before?
Yeah, definitely."
"Mickey and Conrad are very tapped into current affairs and popular culture, so I know that they are very inspired by true events.
And also, I think that's cool.
I would rather watch a show that feels too close to home."

Than something that is not relatable.
